Shazmeen Dayani, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Shazmeen Dayani is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of nursing experience across clinical care, patient education, leadership, and health coaching. She brings a thoughtful, compassionate, and whole-person approach to mental health care, helping patients feel heard, respected, and supported as they work toward meaningful wellness. Shazmeen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University and went on to complete graduate training in nursing education and nursing leadership at UTHealth Houston. She later earned her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her background includes experience in neonatal intensive care, nursing education, health coaching, psychiatric assessment, medication management, and individualized treatment planning. As a provider, Shazmeen believes mental health care should be collaborative, culturally sensitive, and rooted in trust. Her Indian heritage, community involvement, and holistic view of wellness help shape the safe, nonjudgmental space she strives to create for each patient. She is passionate about helping individuals better understand their mental health, explore evidence-based treatment options, and build practical tools for long-term resilience. In addition to her clinical work, Shazmeen serves as Honorary Secretary for the Aga Khan Health Board for the Southeast Region, where she helps support educational programs, outreach, and strategic health initiatives that promote physical and mental wellness within the community.
